Five Cheese Selection
A selection of five Italian cheeses, portioned for five to six people. Products may be submitted for other similar products depending on season and availability.
Gorgonzola Naturale - 120g
Our six-month matured gorgonzola from Piedmont. It's crumbly and smooth, contrasting with a picante and intensely blue flavour, with pleasant walnut notes. It pairs particularly well with sweet jam or mustards, walnuts, and port or desert wines.
Pecorino Supramonte - 120g
A four month matured sheep's milk cheese from Sardinia. An excellent centrepiece for a cheese board, it's hard, strong and nutty without being overpowering, and pairs with honey and jam, or sparkling white wine.
Taleggio - 120g
A washed rind, raw cow's milk cheese from Piedmont. The paste is refreshingly tangy, with notes of hazelnut and olive oil, and is uniquely complimented by a piquant and nutty rind, with salt crystals adding to the texture. Pairs with lighter reds such as Pinot Noir, or sparkling whites, and fresh fruits.
Camembert di Bufala - 250g
Similar to the French classic but made with Buffalo milk, creating a slightly milder and creamier cheese. An unmistakable Buffalo milk flavour complimented by an earthy and mushroomy rind.
Pecorino Tartufo - 130g
Sardinian Pecorino aged for six months, shot through with black truffle paste. The resulting 6-to-8-month aged cheese is earthy, with a blackberry-like astringency and notes of caramel and apple, and a smooth and waxy texture similar to traditional cheddar.
