Pioda Santa Maria
Pioda Santa Maria is a semi-soft goat's milk cheese made in Val Vigezzo, high in the Lepontine Alps. The name refers to the granite formations around the pastures in which the goats graze.
Produced with whole goat's milk from a selection of local farmers, the cheeses are brined for two hours and regularly salted during their 45-day maturation, resulting in a soft texture and robust, pleasantly lactic flavour.

Our purpose built facility, opened in 2018, includes an environmentally controlled curing room, cold storage and a prep kitchen. All product preparation happens here - hams are de-boned, salami sliced, and cheeses cut to order. If you order from us on-line, you will be getting exactly the same products that we sell in our Borough shop.
